ディスプレイが1秒間に画面を書き換える回数のこと。「垂直走査周波数」ともいう。単位はHz（ヘルツ）。垂直操作周波数（リフレッシュレート）が70Hzのディスプレイは、1秒間に70回画面を書き換える。
リフレッシュレートが低いと、画面が明滅するようなちらつきを感じるようになる。
